Campground Host Duties

Campground Host Duties

UPDATE: This position has been filled as of 4/2/2024.

Deer Springs, an adults only RV Park located 13 miles west of Franklin NC, is looking for a volunteer to act as Campground Host and help with the daily duties at the park.  Due to the location of the camp host site, the length of your rig will need to be no longer than 32′.

This is an unpaid position and in return, we offer:

  • A free site starting May 1st and ending October 31st.
  • Water
  • Sewer
  • Electricity
  • Basic WiFi
  • Firepit & Firewood
  • Free use of the laundry room.
  • Tuesday & Wednesday off, unless the park is busy.
  • Your site will be up above the park and has a wonderful long range view as well as a good visual view of the RV Park.   The picture below shows Site #6, and the campground host site is above Site #6, where the Class C camper is sitting.
  • It is also just a short walk to the pavilion with a Fireplace, BBQ and Smoker.

Campground Duties Overview

We are a small campground, currently only 12 sites.   All of our guests have self-contained RV’s, so there is no bath house to keep clean.   Each visitor stays a minimum of 3-nights, so there is generally not a lot of RV’s coming in or leaving on any individual day.

Your Duties will be:

  • Meet and sign in the guests when they arrive.  If asked, assist them in getting their rig into the site.  10-15 minutes per RV.
  • When a guest leaves, you will need to inspect their site. Wipe down the counter, empty the ice in the refrigerator, empty their trash can and wipe the refrigerator down.  As mentioned above, we are a small park and each visitor has a minimum of a 3-night stay, so cleaning the sites is not a daily duty.   10-15 minutes per site.

  • Keep the dog stations stocked with plastic bags and emptying the disposal can as necessary.  About 1 hour a week.
  • We have no bath house, so there will be no toilets or showers to maintain.    🙂

  • The pavilion will need to be inspected daily. Empty the trash if needed, wipe down the table, and straighten things up.  It will also need to be blown off as the wind tends to bring in leaves and things.  Maximum, 20 minutes daily.

  • Weed eat around the lawns that are in front of the sites. There are 5 of these, each is about 10’X10′, and shouldn’t take anymore than about 30 minutes  once a month.
