“Welcome to Deer Springs, the Best RV Parks near Franklin NC and the Smoky Mountains. We offer unique RV Sites with a touch of outdoor luxury not found at other RV parks. 

Deer Springs is a privately owned and gated RV park located in the Smoky Mountains, 13 miles West of Franklin, NC. Moreover, we are a pet-friendly RV park with a focus on providing large RV Sites in a comfortable and unique setting. Our park has been designed for ‘self-contained RV’s,’ and as such, there is no separate bathhouse on site.

It is important to note that all visitors to Deer Springs RV Park must be 18 or older.

Quiet settings and lots of Nature are the extreme amenities at our park. Therefore, visitors can enjoy the serene surroundings and explore the nearby Appalachian Trail.

Site #4 (Park Place) @ Deer Springs RV Park

Internet and Cell Phone Service

Being remote, there is no cell service in the area around the park.  But we have excellent Internet service so phones set to “WiFi calling” should have no issues making normal cell phone calls, receiving txt messages, etc. 

What is Wi-Fi Calling?  Wi-Fi calling is a function in your cell phone that uses local Internet instead of a cellular network.  Wi-Fi calling typically provides higher-quality voice calls than cellular networks.

Like to Hike?

Deer Springs RV Park is uniquely situated between two Appalachian Trail entrance points, giving you access to a moderate 3.5 mile hike, or longer, if you prefer.   

Leave your vehicle at one end and we’ll drop you off at the other end.  When you end your hike your vehicle will be waiting where you dropped it off.

Pet Friendly RV Park in Franklin NC

Deer Springs is a Pet Friendly RV Park in Franklin, NC, but some sites do have pet restrictions.  If you’re planning on bringing your furry friends, please read about our pet restrictions / policies.

We offer an easy-to-use online availability tool to help you plan your stay.

Sites 1-8 have:

  • 30/50 Amp Service
  • Sewer hookups
  • At least 1 picnic table
  • At least one fire ring
  • Private gazebo equipped with prep counter, sink with running water, refrigerator with ice maker,  and ceiling fan with light.

Sites 11-14 (The Wilderness Loop) are on top of the mountain, and offer 

  • 30/50 Amp Service
  • Sewer hookups
  • Picnic table
  • Fire ring
  • Beautiful long range views
