It is important to note that as of August 18th, 2023, all visitors to Deer Springs RV Park must be 18 or older.
Deer Springs is a privately owned and gated RV park located in the Smoky Mountains, 13 miles West of Franklin, NC. Moreover, we are a pet-friendly RV park with a focus on providing large RV Sites in a comfortable and unique setting. Our park has been designed for ‘self-contained RV’s,’ and as such, there is no separate bathhouse on site.
Quiet settings, Appalachian Trail hiking, and lots of Nature are the extreme amenities at our park. Therefore, visitors can enjoy the serene surroundings and explore the nearby Appalachian Trail.
Deer Springs offers a tranquil and nature-centric experience for RV enthusiasts everywhere.”

Internet and Cell Phone Service
Being remote, there is no cell service in the area. But we have good Internet service, so if you set your cell phone to “WiFi calling” you should have no issues making normal cell phone calls.
What is Wi-Fi Calling? Wi-Fi calling routes your voice calls and text messages through a Wi-Fi network rather than a cellular network. Wi-Fi calling is ideal in situations where cellphone service is unavailable or unreliable, and typically provides higher-quality voice calls than cellular networks.
Like to Hike?
Deer Springs RV Park is uniquely situated between two Appalachian Trail entrance points, giving you access to a moderate 3.5 mile hike, or longer, if you prefer.
Leave your vehicle at one end and we’ll drop you off at the other end. When you end your hike your vehicle will be waiting where you dropped it off.

Coming soon - The Wilderness Loop!
The Wilderness Loop will be opening in 2024, and will consist of 4 spacious camping sites located on the top of our Deer Springs mountain and accessed by newly paved roads.
Each site will have water/power/sewer with picnic table and fire ring. And the long range views will be outstanding!
Follow our progress as we develop this exciting new experience and make camping in or near Franklin a trip to remember!
Pet Friendly
If you’re planning on bringing your furry friends, please keep in mind that sites 1, 7 and 8 allow up to three dogs. Unless you have prior approval, all other sites are limited to a maximum of two dogs.
We offer an easy-to-use online availability tool to help you plan your stay.

Sites 1-8 have:
- High speed Internet (Premium Internet is an additional charge)
- 30/50 Amp Service
- Sewer hookups
- At least 1 picnic table
- At least one fire ring
- Private gazebo equipped with prep counter, sink with running water, refrigerator with ice maker, and ceiling fan with light.
All Sites include:
- Free Internet for checking emails and simple browsing. Streaming is available as an upgrade.
- Access to our Bark Park.
- Access to The Pines Pavilion (seen in picture below).
