Appalachian Trail Pictures
These pictures were taken by some of our guests on the 3 mile Appalachian Trail hike above the park.
Intermediate hikers can stretch their legs just walking around the property or up the logging trail behind the park.
More avid hikers might want to hike on the Appalachian Trail. The Appalachian Trail is a marked hiking trail in the Eastern United States extending between Springer Mountain in Georgia and Mount Katahdin in Maine, and part of it passes just a few miles above the Deer Springs RV Park.
This section of the trail (shown below in red) is well marked and can be accessed from two different areas, both of which are only a few miles from the park. Leave a car at one end and we’ll drop you off at the other. The hike is 3 miles long and will provide beautiful views along the way.
